Class mailing lists are a way to contact students enrolled in the course before a Canvas site is published.
After a Canvas site is published, instructors can message the entire class via a Canvas announcement.
We recommend that instructors inform their students that they will be using Canvas announcements for important messages and ask them to adjust their notification settings in Canvas so they don't miss anything.
