Honorlock integrates with Canvas Quizzes to track a student's progress through an assessment (quiz, test, exam, etc.) by recording the student's monitor, webcam, and microphone and alerts the instructor to any "flags" or possible academic integrity violations, such as stepping away from the computer during the test or using an unapproved resource. The instructor determines if an academic violation actually occurred by watching any "flags" that may have taken place during the student's assessment attempt.
Honorlock is easy for instructors to enable and for students to use. Instructors simply apply Honorlock to a Canvas quiz and establish desired settings. Students download a Chrome browser extension. When they are ready to take an assessment during the scheduled window, they go to the assessment in Canvas, present their ID, and show their testing space by moving their web camera around. Students can take the assessment after they successfully complete these steps.

Honorlock Tips
- Do not log into your Google@SAS profile in Chrome: The Chrome Web Store is blocked in the Google@SAS domain, so you will not be able to install the Honorlock extension if you are logged into your Google@SAS profile in Chrome, and you may also experience issues when trying to use Honorlock if you are logged into your Google@SAS profile in Chrome. For this reason, please make sure you are logged out of your Google@SAS profile in Chrome when installing and using the Honorlock extension.
- Accommodations: Honorlock supports accommodations for students with documented disabilities. For instructions on how to apply accommodations, please consult Accommodations with Honorlock.
