PowerNotes is not supported by the Penn LPS Online Helpdesk, it is supported through the libraries since it is a research tool.

Steps to Log In to Powernotes

Important note: You can not be logged into Penn Email in Google Chrome and add an extension. All extensions are blocked for Penn email Chrome profiles. We recommend using a personal version of Google to add the Powernotes extension but to log into Powernotes using the information below.

Please see more information about adding multiple Profiles to your Google Chrome browser, this will allow you to toggle from your Penn Email profile to a Personal Email profile containing the Powernotes extension easily.

We recommend signing in to Powernotes using your Penn email, e.g., pennkey@sas.upenn.edu or, pennkey@upenn.edu (See image below for log in example) when installing the browser add-on so you can log in through the University of Pennsylvania's institute license and do not need to pay a fee to use the tool.

1. Navigate to Powernotes.com
2. Enter your Pennkey email address and then wait for the prompt "Log in with University of Pennsylvania" to appear.
3. Click Log In with University of Pennsylvania.
4. Look for a confirmation email in your Penn email inbox.
