Overview

Students (who are not Penn Employees) in Penn LPS courses are eligible for a Google@SAS Penn email. Important emails and notifications from Penn will come to this email address.

Please see Getting Started with SAS Student email for the next steps in setting up Penn email or setting up forwarding options. 

Emails usually take this format: pennkey@sas.upenn.edu.

You will sign in to your email at gmail.com.  

We would like to encourage you to add this to Canvas as your preferred email:

1. Add your Penn email to Canvas: How do I add an additional email address as a contact method in Canvas as a student?
2. Make your Penn email your default Canvas email address: How do I change my default email address in my user account as a student?

Important Note: All SAS Undergraduate and Graduate students who are actively enrolled in SAS/LPS are eligible to use Google@SAS. The only exception is for students in Liberal & Professional Studies who are also Penn employees and already have a Penn email address; those students should continue using their work email address and should not sign up for a Google@SAS account.
